Much like my fellow freelance writers, I’ve work on multiple platforms. My reviews can be found on Manhattan Book Review, San Francisco Book Review, Portland Book Review, and Seattle Book Review.
For transparency, we’re allowed to share our sponsored reviews on personal blogs to bring in more of an audience for the title we reviewed. Because of this, I’ve been able to resurrect my Medium account not only for my personal reviews but ones done in my freelance work as well.
I didn’t want my Medium to have too boring a name. My partner knows this all too well; my naming conventions are not the most creative (e.g. I have a stuffed toy with a long nose named…Long Nose. And her sibling with a big nose is named…Big Nose…)
To me, writing is a means of (safely and tenderly) coming to realizations, whether about the world, my family, or myself. And in my personal work, I try to make intentional space to explore my identity as a Visayan and Cebuano person. A lot of this research starts at the language and the conversations had with my lola.
So, my Medium was renamed Hunahuna1!
Regardless of if you decide to follow my Medium, I’m grateful to you for reading and supporting my writing.
Currently, I’m:
reading through my NetGalley titles

listening to BAD BUNNY
watching a LOT of anime
