I hope this meets you all well as we enter the holiday season. Whether or not you celebrate tomorrow’s complicated Thanksgiving1, may your new year be filled with warmth, joy, and the comfort and presence of loved ones.
The third week of #NaNoWriMo2022 shaped up to be a slow one for me. A few things that got in the way of my writing:
parent-teacher conferences at work
my cousin visiting from San Diego
a friend’s birthday celebration
Because life also means living it, I’m giving myself grace with smaller numbers because of aforementioned events (which you should do, too!)
A quick recap for folks who are new here:
NaNoWriMo is a yearly challenge that takes place in November for writers to set aside time to add 50,000 words to their WIP(s)
Of course, this number is adjustable to your needs and lifestyle

My personal goal is to write 15,000 words this month cumulatively.
With 3,004 words written so far, I have:
9,334 words to go to meet my 15,000 word count goal in the next 7 days!
This means my writing total for last week is 342 words
Last week, I gravitated towards one of the newer projects I started, which is my co-written poetry chapbook titled Pan de Hija.
But, this is it! The final countdown! I’m rooting for you and your project(s)!
See you next week!
